I love Nezumi’s smooshed cheek. I imagine he made a little ‘mrrrrr’ noise upon smooshing dat cheek and cuddlin’ dat boyfreen. The ‘mrrrr’ noise of “I am awake but don’t ask me to communicate or otherwise show signs of intelligent life. Also I don’t want to be awake right now and will go into a very sluggish froth unless my whims are catered to.”
Also like — so amused that he even bothered to get dressed. Your pretense of being totally awake and ready for the day is somewhat uh not working, there, Nezumi. Yeah he’s really hoping Shion will take pity on him and resume morning cuddles. Which isn’t cuddling so much as it is Nezumi glomming on to Shion and sleeping for another hour or two or until not even the lure of a warm, sleepy, pliable Nezumi is enough to keep Shion in bed. You can’t just sleep away the entire morning, Nezumi, Shion will say, like that isn’t the most reasonable thing Nezumi has ever heard in his entire life.
I love this notion of Nezumi, who’s been so standoffish and removed most of his life, being so touchy-feely and cuddly in the worst ways with Shion. Not just hair-fondling and flailing in bed, but letting down his guard (ish…) and needing contact and petting and other manner of skin-touching and please let there be unconventional shows of this like forehead and/or nose touching and handjobs at inappropriate times of the day because got-to-touch etc etc ad nauseum.
