Koi Shite Daddy!
Read this in one go last night and actually enjoyed it. It didn’t blow me away, and it didn’t bring anything new to the table, plus it was kind of cheesy at times and pretty ridic at others (the pair live next door to each other, like some weird amalgamation of Trifecta and Nostalgia, and when the single papa goes to confess and subsequently bang his next door neighbor, he just tells his pre-school-aged son to wait quietly in the apartment. Alone. What XD;;;;;;) So much irresponsible parenting for the sake of moving the relationship along, but I suppose I can suspend some disbelief for a cute story.
Minimal drama as well, and the little bit they try to add is really contrived (uke’s father is very much against his son practicing the ~gay lifestyle~ but the drama lasts for all of like 5 pages before there’s a begrudging renewal of feelings and whatnot), but it’s not entirely a wash.
I quite liked the art most of the time (though Kitazawa’s style is kind of hit and miss for me, even here), and the little subplot of one of Rintarou’s (male) classmates having a crush on him and developing a friendship out of rivalry that will obviously bloom into something adorable in the future.
If you like something light and fluffy that won’t require much investment to enjoy, this isn’t a bad read :3 Doesn’t seem to be scanlated, but looks like Echochi is doing it, so uh—look for it from them if you don’t do raws!
