ETA: Regarding the omake for Love Stage!! there’s actually TWO!

Chapter 10.5 takes place during the taxi ride when Ryouma takes Izumi back home in Chapter 10, and they discuss Rei’s relationship with Izumi and how he’s more of a mother to Izumi than Izumi’s own mother (leaving Ryouma realizing that in order to get in good with Izumi, he must first surmount the twin Everest-level hurdles of Shougo and Rei)

Chapter 10.8 details Ryouma’s harrowing night as Izumi sleeps underwear-less in his bed…which mostly involves him taking lots and lots of pictures of Izumi in compromising positions XD;;;

For those of you keeping track at home, it’s now April 2 in the SekaKoi mangaverse :3

Of note, this calendar posited that Yokozawa and Kirishima would get together April 1 (albeit an admittedly really rough estimate). However, they either have NOT gotten together or already are together, because on Saturday March 31, Yokozawa is shown helping Ritsu out with the autograph event and not moping at home in his apartment about his fight with Kirishima as he’s shown to be doing in novel canon on the Saturday before they get together, so it’s obviously not this weekend!

And given his reaction to Ritsu and his avoidance of Takano during the event, I doubt he and Kirishima are together yet (as he finally starts trying to talk to Takano again before they get together), BUT this does mean that it’s probably really soon…!! MAYBE NEXT CHAPTER 8D

Ryouma!!! He helped his love and got some kiss too. I love this manga XD

I really think he might just be my favorite character, gosh. I mean, he was kind of a jerk in the beginning with how he treated Izumi after finding out he was a guy, and the scene on the couch was not cool for a lot of reasons, but…with each successive chapter he just climbs higher and higher on the Making and Effort meter, and I like how he’d do pretty much anything for Izumi, even to his own detriment, but he still retains a backbone and can stand up for himself, doesn’t let Izumi’s obliviousness get him down and takes a stand now and then to be all, “Hey, you seem to keep forgetting this but I’m in love with you, so think about what your actions mean to me in a romantic context maybe? Because it hurts my feelings otherwise.”

I can stand oblivious characters so long as that obliviousness is called into question with enough frequency that it maybe will start to go away :P Izumi was straight straight straight, so I can totally buy him having issues coming to terms with Ryouma’s feelings for him (especially since initially they decided to just be friends), but I’m glad that Ryouma doesn’t hesitate to let him know how he feels when Izumi’s acting in a way that might otherwise give him false hope and lets him know, “Hey that’s kind of a jerky thing to do…”

Izumi: “WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN ‘HOW ABOUT ANOTHER’?!”

Ryouma: “Haha, that’s the spirit! You’ve found your voice again!”

Izumi: “Ah…” (It worked…)

Izumi (regarding his realization that he might just be in love with Ryouma): “BUT THAT WOULD MAKE ME, LIKE, COMPLETELY BL NOW!”

MAN I’m excited for their relationship to finally start going somewhere. After 10 chapters, it’s about time Izumi started entertaining the idea that oh HEY maybe it’s worth it to give a relationship with Ryouma some consideration since I obvs have little problem being kissed and touched by him.

I’m both interested and worried to see where their relationship goes—worried mostly because I hope it doesn’t take like 3 chapters for Izumi to finally let Ryouma know his feelings may be kinda returned. After that, since we know Izumi will be making his debut, I’m excited to see how they have a relationship while dodging all the paparazzi and whatnot. Shougo and Rei make it work somehow, so it must be feasible XD

I’d also like someone to find out about them and help them out some—whether Shougo or Rei or even Izumi’s parents (Rei seems most likely).

And only slightly related…it’d be nice to see more of Ryouma’s side of things, find out more about him. After they’ve been together a while, it’d be adorable for Ryouma to want to introduce Izumi to his family :3

Oh my god, I need one of those self-help tapes playing constantly in my ear going look at your life look at your choices.

I recorded a mini-Love Stage!! drama :| It’s just me derping around and trying to see if I have a boyish enough voice (verdict: I have a little boy’s voice, not really a Sena Izumi voice…though I do like how some bits of it came out).

Ummm it’s all in Japanese, so script is thus:

It all started 10 years ago…when I was taken to where my parents were filming a commercial. It was my first time on set, so I was super nervous, and on top of it—I had to dress like a girl! I was having an UTTER MELTDOWN!

And then I… Then I… I was…completely traumatized by that.

It’s been 10 years since then. I vowed to never again step foot into that world…became more and more introverted…and blossomed into a full-fledged OTAKU.

My name is Sena Izumi; I just entered university this past Spring.

We’re a SHOW-BIZ FAMILY. Well…all but me.

I’ve realized something recently: Imagine there’s a door leading to the entertainment world…but it’s hard to find, and no matter how hard you try, it just won’t open. Unless you have family who are already in the business; then it opens all too often.

I actually was in a commercial 10 years ago, and since then, I’ve nearly been dragging into the entertainment world countless times. But…I’m sorry! I don’t want to be in showbiz!

And anyways—it’s impossible for a loner otaku like me to join the entertainment world!

Besides, I have other things I want to do with my life… That’s right! My dream is…to become a mangaka who draws awesome series like LalaLulu!!
